Session length and fees:
Individual sessions are 45 minutes at the rate of $80.00
Couples sessions are 60 minutes at the rate of $120.00
Family sessions are 60 minutes at the rate of $150.00
Group therapy rates will be determined as groups are formed

Please be aware that if you are late for your appointment we will still need to end our session on time and you will be responsible for the full fee.

A word about insurance:
I do not currently work as a preferred provider with any insurance companies.  I feel that their requirements for payment are a breach of client confidentiality in that they require a mental health diagnosis and may require additional documentation of therapy session details (progress notes, treatment plans) in order to provide coverage.  This information remains in client files indefinitely, is not necessarily considered confidential and may increase insurance premiums.  I am considered by most insurance companies to be an "out of network provider."   This typically means that after you have met the deductible designated by your insurance carrier, they will reimburse you for a percentage of  your investment in therapy.  Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts will reimburse for 100% of the cost of mental health treatments with a receipt from me indicating the nature of our work together and which I am happy to provide.   Contact your insurance company and ask them:
  •  If you have out of network coverage for mental health services
  •  What your deductible amount is
  • What your reimbursement rate is
  • How many sessions per calendar year your plan covers
  •  Is there a limitation on how much your provider will pay per session
  • Is approval from your primary care physician required
Many clients like the fact that the work we do together represents an investment that they make in themselves--giving them a greater sense of empowerment and freedom.  Please consider the insurance decision carefully.


Cancellations:
If you need to cancel an appointment, at least 24-hours advanced notice is required. Feel free to leave me a voice mail message or a text message, but e-mail is not an acceptable form of notification.  If this notice is not provided or the appointment becomes a "no show," you will be responsible for the full cost of the session. It is important to recognize that this time was reserved for you, and I am not able to offer it to another client.  Please understand and respect this policy.
